Educational Fairs and Festivals
The Museum’s Education Department participates in a variety of educational fairs and festivals each year. The Museum makes contact with new people and reconnects with past visitors during these outreach initiatives through an array of hands-on activities, portable exhibits, computer demonstrations, and printed materials.
If you would like the invite the Florence Griswold Museum to participate in your next educational fair or festival, contact the Museum’s Education Department at (860) 434-5542, ext. 115 or david@flogris.org.

Hands-On, Minds-On Education Area
Each summer the Museum presents Hands-On, Minds-On, an educational area offered during the Old Lyme's Midsummer Festival, a town-wide celebration of the arts offered the last weekend in July. Local not-for-profit organizations are invited to participate by presenting a hands-on activity for children and distributing information about their family offerings.
