The charming scene entitled “Peace” is beautifully illustrated by the depiction of a well dressed, serene, young lady seated in a tranquil landscape enticing a blue bird. It appears to be an original design and not copied from a print source. The anonymous stitcher used spangles to enhance her dress which were often incorporated into borders to reflect light.
