DESCRIPTION:Old Lyme’s Midsummer Festival\, the annual celebration of art\, music\, food and family fun\, is back! Presented by the partners of the Old Lyme Arts District. \nJoin us Friday night for the FREE kickoff concert on the banks of the Lieutenant River at the Florence Griswold Museum. This beloved tradition starts the weekend’s festivities in style. \nThis year\, Mass-Conn-Fusion brings the party! The Mass-Conn-Fusion band draws its talent from both sides of the Massachusetts-Connecticut border. The seven-piece band features exciting vocals\, polished horns\, and funky rhythm section. Rock the banks of the Lieutenant River with this popular group on Midsummer eve\, enjoying the danceable sounds of Motown\, R&B\, Funk\, and Disco. Their set features songs from the 1960s right up to today’s top hits. \nGuests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs\, blankets\, and a picnic. Assorted food trucks will be available on site with local fare for purchase. \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS – FRIDAY JULY 24\nMidsummer Super Sale: 10am to 7pm\nUp to 75% off all kinds of great selected items including unique gifts\, art books\, kids books & toys\, stationery\, garden items\, and a whole lot more! DESCRIPTION:Old Lyme’s celebration of art\, music\, and family fun is a summertime favorite event. Every last weekend of July\, the Festival kicks off with a free outdoor concert on the riverfront lawn of the Florence Griswold Museum. On Saturday\, the Old Lyme Arts District partners present a full day of family friendly activities. A classic car show\, local art vendors\, food trucks\, a community dog show\, a 5K road race\, live music\, and much more. Apply here. \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS – SATURDAY JULY 25\nLocal Vendors on the Griswold House lawn\, food trucks onsite: 9am to 3pm\nShop unique\, locally created finds from artists and vendors\, and enjoy food for purchase from a variety of food trucks. \nFree Admission to the Museum: 9am to 5pm\nBe our guests for the historic Griswold House and current exhibitions in the Krieble Gallery on this Midsummer Festival Saturday. Explore the art and history on view in the Griswold Boardinghouse for Artists\, c. 1910. Hands-on crafts in the Hartman Education Center (free) and face painting and fairy hair by April’s Balloon Creations (for a fee). \nMidsummer Super Sale: 9am to 5pm\nUp to 75% off all kinds of great selected items including unique gifts\, art books\, kids books & toys\, stationery\, garden items\, and a whole lot more!
