DESCRIPTION:SOLD OUT\nOlana: The Home and Studio of Frederic Church \n$190 (Members 10% discount) \nFee includes roundtrip transportation from the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme\, CT\, boxed lunch\, admission\, and VIP guided tours \nOlana is the home\, studio\, and landscape envisioned by one of America’s greatest artists\, Frederic Church. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Hudson River\, the site is a National Historic Landmark\, and a remarkably preserved artistic vision. In the mid-19th century\, Church achieved great success and fame as an American artist. This trip is in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Church’s birth. \nAlthough normally closed to the public on Mondays\, Olana is making an exception for the Florence Griswold Museum. Participants will enjoy a welcome and boxed lunch in the Frederic Church Center for Art and Landscape\, their new visitor center\, before enjoying VIP tours of the landscape\, house\, and studio.
