EXPANSION
More gallery and programming space, and a research center.

TIMELINE
The timeline for the project has two parts. The first involves renovating the existing Krieble Gallery, which opened in 2002. Skylights will be replaced, lighting improved, and fire sprinklers introduced.

The second component of the project provides much-needed additional gallery and programming space and adds a long-awaited Collections Research Center.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT THE MUSEUM

During our closure only the Krieble Gallery, admissions, and gift shop areas will be affected.

The Florence Griswold House, Landscape Center, Education Center, Chadwick Studio as well as the Museum’s grounds, gardens, and nature trail will remain open during the construction. Parking is unaffected.

Cultural events, educational programs, group tours, and field trips will continue without interruption.

We are focusing on the elements that will have the most immediate impact for our visitors. More information and updates to come on this exciting and transformative project!
