Since 2009, over 250,000 visitors have immersed themselves in the spirit of imagination and whimsy that comes from visiting at least two dozen pint-sized installations across the Museum’s campus on a perfect autumn day. The annual Wee Faerie Village is a beloved seasonal tradition for all ages.

A walking trail of faerie-sized creations takes visitors on an adventure through a different themed environment each year. Teams of local artists make their installations from scratch, often working with natural and found materials to evoke the Museum’s beautiful landscape. Upon check-in, visitors receive a map that guides them to each house’s location, tells the story of the faeries who live there, and invites close looking for a special hidden object.

Please note that during the 2026 Wee Faerie Village – September 26 through November 1 – general admission rates are:

$23 Adults
$22 Seniors (62+)
$21 Students (13+)
Free to children 12 & under

The Museum offers Free Admission for:

• SNAP/EBT cardholders — good for four people per visit. There is no limit to how many times a person can visit, and free admission is good for up to four people per visit with the presentation of a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. A SNAP/EBT card from any US state is valid at the Museum.
• Active Duty Military and Veterans and their families as part of the Blue Star Museums Program

The Museum offers reduced admission of $5 per adult during Wee Faerie Village to the following visitors:

• Library Passes — good for two adult & two children admissions ($5 per adult, free for children). Click here to see if your local library is a member of our program
• Employees & Docents of other museums with ID or business card
• North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM), NEMA and AAM Membership holders.
• CT Art Trail Passport holders

The Museum offers $1 off admission for:
